Our Mission
The Akita Club of America Rescue mission is to generate and distribute financial and education assistance to hands-on ACA-approved rescues.

ACAR’s provision of funding to approved rescues is dependent on funds raised and availability of those funds.

Our Achievements

Since December 2017 ACAR has distributed over $200,000 to nine ACA-approved hands-on rescues. ACAR’s Emergency Rescue Policy assists rescues when three or more Akitas are taken in at once or a natural disaster occurs and impacts an individual rescue organization.

ACAR provides education on the process to establish a rescue organization and other rescue topics in order to help reduce the number of Akitas abandoned in public and private shelters.
